The Unsung Diva is the story of 19th century opera diva Sissieretta Jones and her incredible rise to international fame amid the hostile environment of post-Civil War America where she emerged to become the most notable Negro singer in the world.

Theater, tap dance, and jazz combines seamlessly as Idris tells his story, and reflects on the stories of other artists, such as Peg Leg Bates and Django Reinhardt, who have overcome incredible physical challenges to triumph as world renowned artists.

The Breach (a work-in-progress)
Performed by Joanna Haigood, Rhodessa Jones, and
Idris Ackamoor
The Breach will utilize theater, dance, music, and video to investigate the pros and cons of the reparations debate. Internationally renowned aerialist Joanna Haigood joins Ackamoor & Jones in this innovative performance art production.

Part house party, part TV talk show, and part cabaret, THE LOVE PROJECT is an interactive experience that testifies to the network of human relations that define our times.
